Hip Memorabilia - Zenith - 12-15-2009

Sorry if there's already a thread for this (I did search, honest guv!)...

So, what's your favourite piece of Hip memorabilia you own? I just get a frame for this which I got at the Manchester show this year:

That, and a setlist from Groningen in 2007 are the only really unusual/signed things I have but I love 'em! Let's see some photos if you can be bothered. Wink

No pictures of my stuff, I have a setlist from Charlottetown 2006 and Sydney 2007.
Charlottetown 2007 was good to me... Johnny's drumsticks and Gord's mic. Both signed.

This is not mine, it is summiteer's - but it has always made me drool:

The fiancee has her Coke Machine Glow book signed by Gord. I have a Stripper's Uninon CD signed by the band after meeting them at a radio contest. And now I have my copy of WATS and the EP signed by all the Hip........

I also have a nicely framed poster from one of the Filmore Shows (it has a moose on it) that my brother gave me for Christmas one year. (He lives in San Francisco and went to the show)

For some reason, I seem to have a lot!

On my walls:
1) a framed signed set list from Manchester with the ticket and pictures from the show.
2) a shadow boxed Gord hanky with the ticket and a picture of him from the show.
3) a shadow boxed Robbie guitar pick with the ticket and a picture of him from the show.
4) a signed poster of the band from the Silver Jet video shoot.
5) 5 concert posters.

On display in other places:
1) studio CD's and rare singles.
2) a scrapbook with magazine articles of the band from the 90's.
3) lots of other Hip stuff that I've picked up over the years.

Re: Hip Memorabilia - catechism - 12-15-2009

I can't decide if I have a lot of stuff, or not very much. I am leaning toward a lot, considering I have been to all of four shows. The only picture I've got of it is this one:

In the picture:
- Set list 1 from Groningen 11/25/09
- Undetermined number of hankies
- Guitar pick I used to strum Gord's guitar (Groningen, 11/25/09)
- Guitar pick from Robbie (Utrecht, 11/26/09)
- Drumsticks from Johnny (Utrecht, 11/26/09)

I also have another (broken) stick and probably another hankie from the 11/27/09 Amsterdam show. I think I traded Gord his mic for a hankie when he had me pull it out of his chest, so probably I should have driven a harder bargain. I have no idea what to do with any of this stuff. It's in a box right now. None of it's signed, because I am full of neuroses.

But to answer the actual question, I am partial to the drumsticks from Johnny. I love how beat up they are.

And at which concert did you get the fruit biscuits?

Oops, I forgot to answer the actual question too. My favourite is the guitar pick from Robbie because he came over to give it to me. I was yelling thank you to him for a great show and didn't expect that.

Though the Manchester set list has some great memories behind it as does the Silver Jet video shoot poster.

Ha! Yeah, it was Thanksgiving here in the States, so I went to a grocery store and procured a €3 feast for myself consisting of fruit biscuits, turkey-flavored chips, and spiced cookies (also all featured in that picture). Best Thanksgiving ever! But I have to say, those fruit biscuits were REALLY tasty. I wish I could get them here.
