that's pretty pathetic. If all the original members were alive i would say cool, but come on this isn't The Who anymore.

The Who have been my favourite band for more than 25 years. As Gord said before The Hip played I cant Explain a couple years ago after opening 6 shows for The Who,"Humbling and Necessary"! Go see them and tell me they are not relevant.

I can't see how getting the greatest band of all time could be pathetic.
Long Live Rock.

Glad you have the internet skills to look that up. How much original music have they put out in all those years? i count 1 album of original material. I could be wrong.

Greatest live act on the face of the planet. No idea how it'll transmit over the airwaves, but if Pete Townshend isn't named Super Bowl MVP then there's been some sort of rigging going on.
I'm assuming we'll get some sort of Springsteen-esque medley, and since "Won't Get Fooled Again" will absolutely be played (it has, to the best of my knowledge, been played at every single Who concert since its release), I'm guessing...
WHO ARE YOU
BABA O'RILEY
PINBALL WIZARD
WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN
...although "My Generation" might get the nod over "Pinball Wizard." Regarldess, this is awesome news. The only way it'll get better is if the Minnesota Vikings are there with them.

I'm hoping both the Colts and Saints go undefeated and meet in the Super Bowl...
With Reggie Wayne being named MVP.

First Big Stadium Show ever for me and still in my top 5 ever-The Who at the Old Stadium at the CNE in Toronto 20 years ago. Agreed Pete should be the MVP regardless. Hope the Broncos can beat the Roughriders that night.

Is it OK to say pathetic now?
And some prescience in this thread for teams and songs.

Not even close to the worst half time show ever . I guess you forgot that Green Day performed a few years ago. Hey, didn't Earth, Wind, and Fire perform recently, too? Not to mention Janet Jackson and Timberlake and I think U2 stunk up the joint not too long ago, too. Yeah, so, like I said, not even close to being the worst half time show at the SB.

It wasn't good. The only highlight for me of the CSI-trifecta set was winning a dime after Pete Townsand didn't smash his guitar. Made up for betting the under on Carrie Underwood's version of the national anthem.
The Who weren't awful... they were just Stones-esque after being upstaged by AC/DC and Justin Timberlake at SarsStock bad...
Early favourites for next year's Super Bowl half-time show include Steely Dan, Supertramp, and the unfrozen corpse of Buddy Holly (too soon?)
Cheers,
Pat
