Leave & As I Wind Down the Pines - Played Live? - mrsardo - 11-13-2009
Does anyone know of these two being performed live? AIWDTP I thought would be a likely candidate for the acoustic sets this tour, but no dice.
Leave seems like it has a lot of studio stuff that I don't know how would be done live, but has it or could it???
Just a couple mellow songs I really like that the guys seem to have purposefully forgotten (along with their great bonus tracks that they don't play)

Leave has only been played once, in Philadelphia in 2002 as far as I can tell. The Bear and Pines both hadn't been played until Bear made a surprise appearance this year.

I have a live version of Leave on Cassette. They did the entire IVL album in a special secret location (local detroit studio) when the album came out. The show was broadcast on the radio... Hopefully I can get that transfered to cd and then on computer soon!
And for the record it sounded just fine :thumb:

Leave has been performed 4 times, and luckily I have seen it twice.

I believe these were all the small promo shows before the tour at places like Hard Rock Cafe - I don't even think they were publically available tickets but I could be wrong. I think they were all givaways, prizes etc.
AIWDTP has always been one of my favorites as well - it certainly would have been nice to hear that on this tour.
Same goes for The New Maybe. And Sharks which I personally think is insane that they don't play live as it is one of my favorite Hip songs - in my top 10.

It took about 4 tries for me, but eventually i was able to save the full 4:13. Thanks for this, if these IVL promo shows ever get posted to the tracker or something that would be awesome too.
The vocals here are top-notch, the gutiar work sounds a little hesitant, but i guess that's because it was probably one of the first times performed live.

mrsardo, I'm sorry but I have a terribly trivial issue that I must point out about your signature...
With the shows listed that you've attended the first two are in mm/dd/yy format while the second is in dd/mm/yy format. Maybe I'm just OCD but it's been bugging me!
