Rush: Live in Rio - das_hips - 10-22-2003

Don't know how many Rush fans there are out there, but they just released there live concert from Rio, there last gig on a 66 show tour. The DVD comes with a documentary as well, which presents testimony of their life on the road. A couple of surprises:
- Neil Pearts arms haven't fallen off yet, hope I can drum half as well as that when I'm 25, let alone 55,
- The median age of Rush fans in Brazil seems to be about half of that in Canada, I'd say 18-22.
- Neil Peart talks like a remotely concious Stephen Hawking. Probably the smartest man I've ever seen on TV.
- I like Rush, they're good (no surprise there)

I picked the DVD and the triple live cd on Tuesday. I was very impressed with both the video and sound quality for the DVD. The average rush fan will love this. I just wish the Hip would do something similar. Maybe next tour.

.. Yeah i think the hip just might do something like that with the DVD thou the process usually is a long one - weezer has been taking over a year to release theirs- but to get one good concert on dvd would be amazing
