Start Time? -

Hey gang,
I'm new to the board and going to see the band tonight for the third time, taking my wife for her first show. My question is, how close are they usually starting in relation to the showtime on the ticket. Tonight's show is advertised as a 7:30 start.
Sorry if this was asked somewhere else, I didn't find that info. when I did a search.
Matt

I haven't seen a show yet on this tour, but from what I read, most of them have either started right on time or a few minutes later. Mind you, most shows have started at 8pm, so I don't know if they'll do the same for the 7:30 shows.

For the Philly show the tickets said 9pm start time. That’s exactly when the Hip took the stage. I always ask 2-3 venue employees what time any band goes on too. Just to make sure. But 9pm for Philly

From TicketBastard: AN EVENING WITH THE TRAGICALLY HIP-NO OPENING ACT / DOORS OPEN AT 6:30 PM
Show at 7:30. I'd bet they'll start pretty close to 7:30 - for every show so far this tour, they took the stage at the time stated on the ticket or shortly after.

Usually when you want them to play a specific song you have to wait between songs and yell it out as loud as you can. Often times Gord will yell back to you that he apprecieates this sort of intereaction and ask your name , then he will dedicate the song to you and they will play it.

Btw - that only works for Little Bones.

You're joking right?
Anyway setlist is already done by the time they hit the stage. Its probably more annoying than anything. Dont be that guy that yells the same song between songs

I was completely kidding. Sarcasm's always tough on the e-mail.
Oh, to answer my own question, at 7:30, right on the button, they walked out on stage. It was a great night. And yes, they played The Exact Feeling, and no, I didn't, and would never yell out a request.
