Which song do you think is better?
Match-up #16 - At The Hundredth Meridian Vs. The Dire Wolf
I ask you to listen to the two songs in the match-up Back to Back, and consider the lyrics of the song. Feel free to post an unbiased analysis of both songs in this thread, but please refrain from cheerleading or making predictions for your favourites.
As always, you can hear both songs played back to back streaming online at http://www.power97.com at 11PM CST, 12AM EST.

This one's tough for me...I guess it all depends if I'm listening to the studio version or a live version.
Re: Match Up #17 - PatrickTheLion - 04-01-2009
This is a very competitive matchup - I love both tunes. I refuse to say which way I voted, but I had to choose based on how each song affects me emotionally.

To decide this one, I listened to a bootleg of last year's 9/11 show in Fredericton where they played both. Then I closed my eyes and picked.

You see, I find ATHM a bit hit and miss live. If I was judging it on live versions I reckon The Dire Wolf would easily win. Studio versions would be a lot tighter.
Re: Match Up #17 - tragicallysteve - 04-01-2009
I think Dire Wolf is one of the few Hip songs where I prefer the studio version.
Re: Match Up #17 - BrenTheodore - 04-01-2009
I do not want to see The Dire Wolf out already.
COME ON!
COME ON!
Re: Match Up #17 - Zenith - 04-02-2009
TDW is clawing it back... no pun intended.
