Now the Struggle Has a Name - robert goulet - 03-29-2009

Is it just me or does this song scream Pink Floyd-Division Bell era. Rob's solo work throughout the song could easily pass as a David Gilmour solo. I doubt that's what he was going for, but I can't help but notice the similarities. I like it...just as I'm starting to really like the rest of this album.

Yes, I hear Pink Floyd in that solo as well. I really dig this song..... However, it does include my only "anti-Bob-Rockism".... I don't care for the low choir vocal part..... :?

I see the Pink Floyd connection, but my first thought about the song was how "country-ish" it sounded. Either way, one of my favourites so far.

I actually don't mind the low-choir vocal production on this one. Makes for an interesting vibe. I'm liking this song more and more ...

I don't dislike the song, but it's definitely my least favorite on the record. However, I do like Robby's Pink Floyd-esque solo.

It reminds me of one of those cheesy group-collaborated songs done for some big cause, like "Rock Against Racism" or something.

I'm eager to interpret the words from the CD. It seems to me new Tragically Hip music resonate feelings that fit my life at a particular time and WATS is no exception. FIMT has similar choir backup voacals as Struggle and is also becoming a favorite.
