I just saw this song on iTunes... I don't see how there was a bonus or single song in the last 10 years that I didn't know about.

Where is this song from? Where can I get it? Is it good? Etc?

Ya I put the question mark there as a joke. I didn't know the hip did Itunes promotions that long ago.

I'm guessing it doesn't compare to the awesomeness of the IVL bonuses or I would have heard about it by now.

I had this file on my old computer along with every other unreleased Tragically Hip track. The hard drive crashed and I lost it all. I was able to reacquire all of the other songs, with the exception of Night Is For Getting. It seems that this song is my white whale, and it burns me up every time I think about not having the song in my collection anymore... I`d be greatly appreciative of the download as well. (I just didn`t want to be the first to ask...)

I looked at another thread about this song, Some user said they would hook people up. I inboxed the user a few weeks ago, no reply. I just spent close to $900 on tickets for the fall, so I don't feel bad whatsoever asking for a copy of this song.

99 cents for the song, $13.50 in service charges....lol...i kid i kid. Funny that all the other demos, extra tracks are all over at 100th meridian and/or museum after dark......but this one is a must pay situation.

Personally after buying all studio albums numerous times over the years due to overuse, paying for tix to about 22 shows, all the merch from said shows, I feel that one free tune isn't much to ask or hope for......but all you holier than thou die hards (not aimed at you chris) have a right to flame me for wanting it without paying.

meh....it'll turn up eventually....I'm more excited for the new cd than anything else, just like to stir the pot a bit

I honestly don't know. There's many forums I go to and some would allow this, some wouldn't.

This isn't on the official hip.com website so who knows.

Regardless, if this was made available to me as a fanclub member or at the record store, then I would already own it, but it is not. Since I don't participate in the iTune phenomenon, I don't think it would be an issue to copy it from someone. Yes, I download Mp3s, but I do not buy music from iTunes. I don't like their format, I don't like their DRM policies (are they still doing that?), and I don't like the company. I would have even bought the song off of hip.com if I could have, I'm not anti-Mp3, I'm anti iTunes. I only have it installed to backup my iphone.

Also: it's not available in the US. How fucking difficult would it be for the label to allow these iTunes bonuses internationally? I doubt it costs them anything.

Yes... I enjoy using the phone to follow hockey and my fantasy team on the go... I do not like itunes and the way it distributes and handles music. What's wrong with that?

It's the same company. Your dislike for Apple prevents you from shelling out 99 cents for a Hip song, but giving them $400 for an iPhone is no problem. It's a little hypocritical don't you think?

Who said I paid a cent for my phone? Nevermind 400!!!

I have the phone and I still don't have a single song on it. I do not support Apple when it comes to music organization and playback. I don't use Apple products as my mp3 player. I don't use itunes to organize or listen to music. I don't like their formats, their quality, their DRM management etc, etc...

All of this has nothing to do with a phone. Yes, you are right, I am not a big fan of the company and their product line in general, however I'm clearly not in a position to bring the company down with a solo boycott, nor do I give a shit... So I can use their cellphone for all I care.

Buying music from itunes? Using an ipod to carry and listen to my music? No, no, no, no. Not for me!
