It's about bloody time! And we thought the Hip were taking it slow with their follow-up to WC. Pearl Jam seems to work at at even slower pace. 2009 is shaping up to be a great year for new music.

Is anyone here a member of the 10Club? It seems like The Hip thread is gone now, which sucks bawls.

Not too keen on that power poop song that Matt C. wrote, but hell, I'm jacked to hear what the boys have instore for us.

That's a shame. Myself and a small group of crazy Hip fans kept that thing going for a long time. Along with the Hipbase, the Message Pit was one of my favorite music forums to visit, but unfortunately you have to be a paying member of the 10 Club now in order to start new threads or post replies, which is a real bummer.

there is a new Thread over there about the Hip. It really sucks that the old one got deleted. I was posting so often in the hip thread, that I joined here. hahahah, you know the way things go, into one band hardcore for a bit, then its the other....but the hip are touring and putting an album out, so PJ can wait.

:nooooo Our 10club membership just expired last month. I bought it for the wife for her birthday and after reading this thread realized I forgot to renew it. Damn now im gonna have to go renew it. She got a great magazine from them too. I could not put it down.

you will probably still keep your number, there is a grace period. the magazine is DEEP, you get two a year. they are always a GREAT read indeed

The holiday single never comes until spring.

If you're looking for a pj message board, red mosquito (theskyiscrape.com) is a much better choice than the message pit ever was. Though I haven't really gone into PJChat forums there for a long time I like the Other Bands forum there and there's a good thread about the hip there as well as a hip song tournament happening right now.

I don't have high hopes for the new album, myself. WC didn't really do much for me past a listen or two. Hopefully they can make me a believer again in their studio stuff. I'd love another live show here in Calgary though. They still definitely bring it live.
