Concert Rumour - IMissMyLungBob - 01-26-2009

I have reason to believe that the Hip MAY be playing the hawk rocks the park in London this year, though, it has not been announced yet. I found this out today from a reliable friend who knows a person involved in putting this together. I do not know how reliable my friends source is but I decided to post here and see if anyone else can add some input to this rumour... (cough) Mav (cough)

No. I was told this info by someone in the know. In fact, I have it on "tape" as I was wearing mics to record a concert and forgot to hit stop when I left. On the way out of the venue I was stopped by my source and he shared the news.

I would love to see a Wed July 1, thru Sat July 4 ,four night stand at Artpark, if this rumor ends up being true.

This seems like an odd year for them to play at this festival to me. The Hawk's new play list is much less classic rock oriented (less rock oriented in general for that matter). Also, I heard that they're having a country night this year. Still, if the Hip play Hawk Rocks the Park it would be fantastic. Massey Hall shows would be great as well.

First time seeing them was at Massey Hall. I was front row balcony, sitting right beside Paul's parents. I remember his father complaining about him smoking on stage....LOL

anywhere else and i might believe it, but not London. this is too cool an idea for London, the mayor wont allow it to happen.

Well I also now have something else to add to this rumour... today on Fm96 they mentioned having a "huge concert announcement" next monday at 7am. I forget what the actual date is that they mentioned but it is going to be at Harris park, in the summer around the time that Hawk Rocks the park would be. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed :jump
