What the hell does seated mean? There aren't any chairs there? And of all the damn dates.....Always when there is something you can't get out of there is a show I want to see.

Towne Ballroom has a mosh pit like setting. There are tiered seating around the floor on three sides of the stage. I was there for the Weakerthans show, not a bad setup.

The Buffalo show is sold out. I was really thinking about checking this out but waited too long. Maybe someone will be getting rid of extras outside. Is this group that popular? I got tix for Raine Maida at the door and that didn't sell out. I know alexisonfire is pretty big around WNY but I was surprised to see this show sell out in only a matter of a few weeks.

I'm tempted to go see William Elliott Whitmore open, but I can't really justify it at this point.

If you are going, be sure to check him out beforehand because he is awesome.

Well, it was a great show IMO. I've met him a couple times, early OLP days, and he didn't come off as a douche.

I have never heard music by William Elliott Whitmore. I will have to check it out. I always seem to find out about great music outside of The Hip on these boards. Wintersleep, Sam Roberts, Weakerthans, Hugh Dillon, Ron Hawkins, Alun Piggins, Watchmen, etc. So...thanks for the intros to some great artists and thanks for depleting my funds as I end up going out and buying a crapload of CD's.
