So, I work in brain injury rehabilitation. Most of our people have had a tough go be it car accidents, violence, strokes, etc. We help them adapt to their new lives and way of thinking.
One of the people in our peer support groups was wearing a Led Zeppelin ZOSO hat. We start chatting about music and The Hip come up. This guy says "I'm in their Heksenketel video...I used to be a roadie for them." I assume he's making it up as an after effect of traumatic brain injury is false memories. He describes the scene in which he was on camera, I head home, scan through the video and take a look and there he is, hauling gear...
Crazy to see someone pre-injury. After an accident, they are often a shell of their former selves...it was sad and intriguing to see someone so full of life...a wash of different emotions went through me. I couldn't help but feel for this guy who's life is forever changed. He may never be able to work again... his hopes and dreams are probably gone...he may never meet someone and settle down...

Interesting.. he probably has some cool memories of his times as a Hip roadie.
Sad to hear of his plight.. hope he does well..

I work in neuropsych testing now, but I did do a year-long internship at a brain injury rehab hospital. Which one are you at, if you don't mind me asking? I have plenty of interesting stories from that year, but plenty of depressing ones too. We're such fragile creatures, and it's amazing/terrifying what a good knock to the head can do to us. It's really an eye-opening place to work - I feel like I should be wearing a helmet wherever I go, now.
No Hip-related stories from my hospital, though, I'm afraid.

I work for a publicly funded organization. I did private fee for service before but hated how decisions were made without consideration for the dollars being taken from the individual's rehab benefits...
Feel for this dude, I really do...was like looking at their former self...
