Just got pretty good inside word that TTH are going to play Darien Lake (Buffalo) sometime in July.
That's all I know, but it's good enough for me.

Really? I mean, really? Maybe I'm spoiled from too many club shows in the lower states, but the shows I've seen at Darien Lake have sounded like shit, and have been filled with boorish drunks. :?

Nice venue if you are inside - but the Nazi Police State that surrounds the joint is not worth the hassle.

I prefer Artpark to the relative closeness to me, but Darien Lake concerts are so much fun :jump

Darien Lake is a terrible venue, IMO. :?
The atmosphere can be cool.. but the stage/sightlines and sound can be awful.

maybe because i was 9th row seeing trey+mike w. the duo followed by phil lesh + friends..
the large venue/poor sightlines didnt really affect us from up front..
but i can see what you mean
the venue isn't the "nicest" but it sure is a lot of fun
during setbreak we walked up to the top of the lawn and watched the sunset through the rollercoasters.....that was kinda cool
we'll have to get a bus or something so we don't all have to drive :mrgreen:

I have been to both venues Art Park and Darrien Lake. It is a toss up I hope they just do one and I will be happy! Nice and close for us!

It wouldn't shock me if this show happened, considering the last two times they played Buffalo they did double nights (Town Ballroom and Artpark) and sold them both out fast. Also, it seems like a lot of times when they have an isolated date (Bellville) they usually do another show or two to tune up, and or make going out a little more worth while. I just hope it is after I return from my honeymoon on July 22.

Find me one outdoor show anywhere that doesn't have drunks.
The sound @ Darien can be horrible when your up close..but then your up close so it kinda off sets that end. Hope they do come, it will get me over Rush blowing us off this year :x

If the Hip play 30 minutes away from my home....and it's at Darien Lake, I would stay home!
