How many of you just watched the dvd and the preview for the Return of the King?? I am so excited...I have never read the books so the ending will be all new to me.
What do you think of the first 2 movies so far?? Did any of you read the books??
I love the first two movies!! They are amazing and I can't wait till the final chapter. Although, once it's over, it will be sad..no more to look forward to!!

P.S. Please no spoilers for those of you that have read the books...I don't know how it ends. Confusedhock:

Jen, I definitely share your enthusiasm. I absolutely loved the first 2 movies and like you, I haven't read the books either, so I have no idea whats going to happen in part 3. Just a couple more months and then we'll know Big Grin

All I can say is.. the more of Aragorn/Strider I see, the better the movie will be ( hey! that rhymes ) :wink:

No, but seriously I was amazed at how great the movies turned out.. I can only imagine what a blast the crew must have had taping them.

Oh my gawd you HAVE to read the books Confusedhock: . The movies don't include half of what the books do. Start with the Hobbitt, then the three LOTR books. Everything I've read since has left me longing for another Tolkien novel...

If you like Viggo(Arago/Strider), He has 4 or 5 CD's out. They are all ok but it takes the right mood to be in to listen. I like his first or second CD "Don't Tell me what to do".
Viggo was married to Exene Cervenka- the former singer of a band called X. Also Viggo grew up in Northern NY and went to St. Laurence.

I still haven't seen the new trailer, who's playing Denethor? They really nailed the casting in these movies.

Denethor is played by somebody called John Noble. I personally don't know him but you guys might.

The full length trailer for the 'Return of the King' is out now. I am so excited!!

Just out of curiousity...is there anyone on Hipbase that hasn't seen the first two movies yet??

I've heard that they're show the three parts of LOTR back-to-back-to-back on opening day in some areas. I'm lucky that Philadelphia is one of them...now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that I'm finished with finals by the release date!! :?
