K-Rock Centre to get safety permits and will open on time
It’s a go.
According to city officials, Kingston’s new downtown arena will receive its occupancy permit tomorrow morning, allowing the shiny, new K-Rock Centre to open on time.
That means tomorrow night's Kingston Frontenac/Belleville Bulls hockey game and Saturday's Tragically Hip concert are going ahead.
Until around 3:30 p.m. today, there were concerns that the building wouldn’t receive the necessary civil approval before the scheduled opening on Friday because fire and public
safety measures hadn’t been met.
Contractors and city officials scrambled all week to complete critical work and secure approvals to allow the building to open as scheduled. A practice by the Kingston Frontenacs hockey team scheduled for this afternoon at the K-Rock Centre had to be cancelled.
A VIP-attended opening ceremony is planned to take place at the arena before the puck drops at the Frontenacs game tomorrow night. Had the facility not received the occupancy permit, the game would have been moved to the Memorial Centre.

I'd guess 8PM, that's the time it says on the ticket isn't it? Since there is no opener, I would think it will be then.

It is usually 30-45 minutes after the official start. Give or take a few.
I just like to know when driving in just in case of anything unexpected.
