I hate starting a new thread about this, but searching thehip.com on the search feature returns overwhelming results. Anyways...

Is thehip.com not working for anyone else? I'm trying to access it to no avail.

Yes that is possible. It might be your DNS, it might be network issues, it might be that MAv banned your IP as it was visiting the site too much, etc.

Hmm, Sean, please let me know if you are still having issues. I'll talk to the isp. I have run into this issue twice, ut it lasted for only a few minutes.

Also - yes, the search function sucks. I need to redo it. One of my failures on this version of the site. (oops, youwere talking about the forum search)

There were a few sites I was unable to access yesterday, it was weird.
Everything seems to be in order now.

Try flushing your DNS.

Mac
lookupd -flushcache

Windows
C:\>ipconfig /flushdns

Run from command prompt.
