Holiday Jam - Gord4PM - 11-14-2007
Has anybody heard anything about a Toronto Sick Kids Benefit "Holiday Jam" this year? Seems to be about the time for the tickets to be on sale, and I certainly don't want to miss that show!

I was just watching my footage from last years show and wondered the same thing.

Interestingly enough the past three Holiday Jams have occurred on the 2nd Wednesday of December of each year (Dec 8/04, Dec 14/05, and Dec 13/06) at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. This year on the 2nd Wednesday at the Phoenix The Fiery Furnances are scheduled to play.
The tickets for last year's show went on sale Nov 27.
Not sure what that means for this year.

the 2nd wednesday might be open at the phoenix. tff's myspace page and pitchfork have them at lee's on the 12th.

I just found that cigarette gord handed me after flamenco.... imagine a slow-mo version of that goalie grab... was that last year or the year before.. I'm foggy.

The Real Canadian Superstore and 99.9 MIX FM proudly present a great Toronto tradition - The Andy Kim Christmas Show, on Wednesday, December 12 at The Mod Club Theatre.
Special guests already confirmed include Sean Cullen, Raine Maida from Our Lady Peace, Ron Sexsmith, and Gowan. Tickets are $25 each and go on sale tomorrow morning at 10 AM at all Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.ca, Rotate This and Soundscapes. All proceeds from this show will go to the Children's Aid Society.

Without taking Sean Cullen and Raine Maida into account...Gowan, alone, is worth the price of admission :lol:

I worked with a woman in Thunder Bay who claimed to be the President of the Northwestern Ontario chapter of the Larry Gowan fan club. She even had an autographed picture on the wall, which reminded me of the time I got kicked out of AJ's in Kingston for trying to steal the signed Gowan picture that was up by their coat check.
Whenever I make an arguement against Can-Con, I play "Cosmetics" or "Criminal Mind" and watch the looks of disgust filter throughout my enemies.

The holiday Jam has been a cool thing the past couple of years, but, my sources tell me that Downie is spending time with family outside of the city during the month of December. The Hip will likely do something as a tune-up prior to their February show in Kingston. I've heard rumours that they might be playing at a spot in Rossmore.

Are you being sarcastic or for real?? Not much around Rossmore aside from The Pump.................but man how amazing would that be if they played the little village......LOL
