The pit will be there with or without fans filling the seats, and since it sets a little bit lower than the rows of seats - those people do not really get in your way or anything.
The "pit" is the orchestra pit where the orchestra would be setup for plays, and the pit is situated "out of view" to not obstruct the theatre goers experience.
So, your row ?? seats will not be effected anyway.

Can anyone who has seen a show from the pit area comment on how it would compare to the first 5 rows in the Orch section, for example?

I was in the pit for the Oct. 2000 show and it was amazing. The pit is as close to the stage as you can get. It is about 2 steps down from the orchestra level and i think there are 2 rows of seats within the pit. Anyway they are the best seats in the house imo.

Damn, I wanted those tickets...
The pit has 2 rows, and is sunken down. You can stand and not be in any ones way.
Anyone with pit seats want to trade for row A? (row A seats are much cushier than the ones in the pit.)
