Too bad they stuck with that hideous whale symbol, that thing is awful. The colours are a definite improvement though. They should have went to the hockey stick symbol permanently.

OR, they could have gone with the old skate logo, and just changed the colours to match the jersey.
( I also liked the Johnny Canuck jersey someone posted a few weeks ago )

they missed the boat on this one...Johnny Canuck would have been a much more popular choice, even with that hideous Vancouver lettering...LOVE the colours, glad they stuck with those..but that friggin' Orca...all that hype, and a million dollars ( :roll: ) spent on this???

awful choice, they tried to do too much with this jersey, the name really isnt neccessary, the stick or johnny canuck would have been way better.

Johhny Canuck would of been a big seller ! that would of been a great 3rd jersey and go with the stick retro jerseys for home and away
some more of the new uni's
I think they are pretty sleek

I think Tampa's and Nashville's are allright, but NYI are way too busy...what ever happened to keeping it classic and simple?

Are the Hartford Whalers making a comeback? The colours are really similar. At least, that was my first thought when I saw the new uniform.



I like the Vancouver lettering. Kinda old school.

I hate this new style. hockey jerseys should never be tight fitting.
I wish the nhl would stop whoring itself to an audience it thinks is waiting for them. To paraphrase Paul Westerberg, the nhl's believing in a dream that doesn't exist.

I somewhat agree. They should keep trying to make the game better (maybe these new age jerseys will make the players faster? cratch: :roll: ), but quit the pipedream that hockey is going to catch in the southern belt of the U.S.
It's due time Bettman puts his ridiculously foolish pride aside and let hockey return to Winnipeg, Quebec, and maybe even Hamilton.
