Can anyone even stomach listening to this song anymore? I tried to listen to it yesterday and gave up about a minute in. Blech.

Last Night I Dreamed and Luv (Sic) get occasional attention. I don't hate Pretend. But Rink stinks and In View should be tied up in a sack weighted with stones and sunk in the bottom of a cold dark lake somewhere in Northern Ontari-ari-o.

just felt the need to vent that bit o'spleen.

I'm with you on that one. Last night at the Jays' game there was a delay at the start of an inning because the home plate umpire got hurt and they played In View from start to finish while we were waiting. It was the first time I'd heard it in months, and it was still as chessy as ever.

Other than it and Pretend, I still love the rest of WC though.

It's got 10+ do(s) and another 10+ do-oo-ooos...sheesh!!

I'm with ya CT on the top songs for this album. I don't personally get all the love that is bestowed on Rink, it just doesn't cut it for me.

The only thing I would switch is Last Night for Drop Off, I'm not a huge fan of that one either. Ever since I heard the interview with Rob where he said Bob Rock had him go home and practice his solo before they recorded it the next morning on Last Night, and then instead of coming in with his solo on beat 4 to come in just before beat 1, I now have a new appreciation for this song...if you haven't picked up on it before, give it another spin. Something so simple but it's all I hear now when I listen to this song.

Never will I be able to enjoy In View. Its just too much of a packaged single. I dont like it. The album is good, but not great. I don't think it comes close to IBE.
Notice that that robs solo on Las Night I dreamed is like, the only solo on the album...NOT COOL.

I think they need to start working on a new album,or a few new songs. Go in a different direction all together. A heavier sound, a real rock album that canadians can party too. Thats what the fans want and expect from these guys. Throw some swear words in and get angry gord. lol.....that would be hot!!

Im sure the reason you Canadian fans are sick of it is bc its played on the radio and such, however here in the states the hip is NEVER played. The only place i have found to sell the hip is FYE and Best Buy in the states. I dont think In View is that bad of a song, in fact i think its catchy, however i think its like every Nickleback song in the states.... Way over played

Everyone will debate this song till the cows come home! Seems like its a love it or hate it thing. I actually love it. Just as much as I love some obscure tunes from the Hip. I think a lot of TLC was put into making it. It got a huge amount of airplay here in the Detroit/Windsor area, probably the closest thing to a hit here.

Just for the record it was cool as hell to see and hear Downie doing In View by himself during the soundcheck for one of the Detroit State theater shows.... what a voice this guy has.

AND, I'm probably in the minority on this but I'd like the guys to do a mostly acoustic and bluesy cd next....

In view is a girly song, I never thought the male fans would dig it. I think its a cute song but it only appeals to certain people, you really have to be in a perky, giddy, childlike mood to get into it. Somedays it sounds great ,somedays its very annoying.

I heard it on the radio today and it sounded almost out of place on a new rock station. But I like hearing any Hip tune on the radio...
