Are people meeting before this show? I might go to Maxwell's Plum to get my free burger or whatever it was that came with my tickets. Unless there is something better to do....

- Plymouthshallowgrave - 09-11-2007

This will be my first Hip show ever.
Needless to say, I'm jacked.

- Gortron - 09-11-2007

Only my third show. I'm pretty pumped too.

Haven't seen them at the Metro Centre since 99 or 2000, i forget which year it was. That was my first concert period.

- HIPLVR - 09-11-2007

If it was anything like tonight it should be electric, as usual.
I can't wait Smile

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict they'll play a Johnny Cash song tomorrow night. Today is the 4th anniversary of his death so that's my bet.

- sligg - 09-12-2007

i can't remember when the GD solo show was here in 2003 but it was either the day of or a few days after cash's death and he led the show off with "when the man comes around"....maybe a repeat?

- thehip11 - 09-12-2007

The GD Solo show was actually 4 years ago today (September 12th, 2003) and you are right he led off with When The Man Comes Around. Gord actually played it the following night in PEI as well.

- sligg - 09-12-2007

and i am still pissed to this day that they screwed up the recording of this concert....that was a fun fun night

- thehip11 - 09-12-2007

You and me both. I flew from Toronto to see the show and they totally screwed it all up.

- TragHip - 09-13-2007

Anyone gathering before the show tonight? We just arrived in town and could use a good meal and drink before the show. What's a good place downtown?

Andrew

I'd suggest either Maxwell Plum's or, in true hip fashion, the Seahorse Tavern. What do you guys think?

- highlander - 09-13-2007

Pre-show meet is at Maxwell's. Rory, Brandi and myself will be there about 5:30pm
