My acoustic cover of NOIS - srb - 05-02-2007

Sometime last year I was listening to Johnny Cash's American recordings, and was wondering what would the Hip sound like if Cash stripped a TTH song down to his singer/songwriter style.

I started playing around with this, and finally this morning decided to record it to my computer to take a listen.

And now for the disclaimer:

I'm at the tail end of a cold, so my vocals stray a little here & there. I also can't pick a guitar. I like to play rhythm, full chords, but when it comes to hitting individual notes, I'm pretty lost. Maybe I'll take a guitar lesson sometime...

Anyway, enjoy! I'd love to hear what you think, as my usual audience only consists of my 1 1/2 year old daughter :thumb:

Becuase you started by saying Johnny Cash, I was just preparing myself to hear a Cash type voice. It was not that at all, but still quite good, I'm impressed.

Thanks. I guess I should have clarified that the guitar playing was more in style with Cash than my vocals.

if you are talking to me, normal tuning... didn't change it... thats probably why it sounds out of tune.. because it is..

I just figured you two were talking about my guitar being out of tune, as I didn't tune it properly before recording.

And Sohi, I assumed you were referring to my guitar as a piece, hence my "17 year" spiel.

no man, im referring to my guitar being a piece... i broke my guitar that day and had to use my friends guitar, and he was just starting so he didn't have the best sounding electric acoustic on the market
