Nah... Gift Shop is amazing in studio...how it starts off so quiet, and becomes so powerful.
Not to mention it really gets the crowd going at concerts.

Had to go with Opiated because I'm basing my decision on the album versions of both songs. The live version of Giftshop would be hard to beat though.

Now here is a debate/question I have ALWAYS wondered.
One the back of Trouble At The Henhouse, it is written as two words.
But in the inside jacket and the lyrics, it is one.
But also, on the back of Yer Favourite/Hipeponymous it is written as two words.

Everytime i hear Gord sing "The pendulum swings..." and the song kicks into high gear I remember why I am a hip fan. I had to go with giftshop

I fell in love with Gift Shop and Springtime in Vienna when they were played live during the DFN Tour in 1995. I still remember calling the 1-800 # in April ‘96 and listening to the 30 second clips of Gift Shop, Springtime, and ABAC and being able to recite the words even before TITH was released. However…as the years have passed my appreciation of Gift Shop has diminished.

I was born in AZ, I appreciate Gord’s love of the Grand Canyon, but Opiated is a heavyweight that I fell in love with long ago...
