Well, if "ballcap" (on the left, who at least had the sense to make a phone call) would've tried to intervene, then I'm guessing two girls would've gotten whupped.

I don't think anybody actually got whooped. The guy teed off on a 5 foot 4 woman and she walked away under her own power. Either the guy was intentionally holding back or he is a huge wimp himself.

Now, I couldn't watch with the sound on, since I'm at work, but did some sort of verbal arguement take place before things got physical?

She cut him off because he was drunk...part of her job I might add. Big fat idiot took exception to that and let loose. He's been terminated from the force, or will be soon and hopefully he'll land in jail so he can wise up. I'm if he ends up in the slammer he'll get a taste of real justice.

Not sure if anyone watched the whole vid with the sound, but in the background "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is playing while he's beatin on her,adds an odd kinda movieish surrealism to the whole thing,kinda creepy.....

That's the problem with a place like that.. you don't really have "security". Drinking and violence isn't a new combination. I've cut people off before and they've lost it on me - calling me anything that comes to their mind at their time. If at any moment it looked as though it may get physical, he'd have a bouncer on each sleeve before he could wind up.
Bartenders put up with enough shit nightly without dealing with pricks like him. Doubley so if you're female! Do they serve gin in prison?

I had a good friend who was shot to death in his own bar a few years ago here in Calgary. This young punk had a sawed off shotgun under his coat and came into my friends bar. He caused some sort of disturbance and was booted out of the pub a few times. The last time he came in, Jeff personally escorted him outside where this punk pulled out the shotgun and shot him close range. He died at the scene.
It's a dangerous job because of assholes like this and the dude who lost it on the women in the video here.

Unless that vid has been cut so it's all out of sequence, the beating happens after she pushes him towards the door, etc. Bad mistake -- push the drunk and you provoke him. That's what the cops are for.
Nobody should feel obliged to get beat up for a shitty, low-paying bartender gig.
