Top 102 Canadian New Rock Songs of All Times - thompson girl - 03-02-2007
I'm on CFNY FM (102.1) The Edge's listener survey list. Basically they send me a list of songs once a month and I have to vote on whether I'm sick of hearing them on the radio or not.
Today I got to vote on my top 5 Canadian New Rock songs of all time. I picked:
1) Long Time Running - The Hip
2) 38 Years Old - The Hip
3) Pigeon Camera - The Hip
4) Another Midnight - The Hip
5) Fully Completely - The Hip
The Top 102 Canadian New Rock Songs of All Time airs on Saturday, March 10 at Noon and repeats on Sunday March 11 at 10:00am on the Edge.
It'll be interesting to see the final list. If its on their website I'll make sure I post it.

they've done this hundreds of times. its just going to end with 'smells like team spirit' being number one. god i hate that song.

wow, totally missed the CANADIAN part of the heading. i need to lay off the booze & drugs. my mistake. it'll be interesting to see how many hip songs make the final cut. i can't beleive i missed that. :oops:

These lists tend to be hugely disappointing. I might enjoy this one a bit more though as there's a very good chance that the Hip will feature quite heavily! :thumb: If I'm at home on Sunday then I'll see if I can listen to it over the internet.

Now everyone can vote. You just have to sign up for the "Edge Music Panel". Like I said, its pretty cool. You get to decide what songs the station should play/not play. For instance, I kept telling them to get that god-awful Bedouin Soundclash crap off the airwaves. I can't stand them. :roll:

cratch: Wait a minute, you mean I voted on this stupid thing and none of my songs made the list?Yeah, it was a pretty stupid list and poll. I guess they wanted to do something to fit in with Canadian Music Week though.
