Can anyone (MAv) confirm a secret show tonight for Mess - prairieman - 02-27-2007

I am not trying to spread rumors here, but I live in Edmonton and just got a phone call from my brother-in-law saying something like this:

"Tonight we raise Messier's number to the roof, there is an after party at The Lux, which is owned by Ryan Smyth. I've heard that a lot of big stars are flying into Edmotnon today for the ceremony and after party. I've heard The Hip have been hired to play tonight".


Now I told him he was on glue as The Hip played last night and play again tomorrow night, but stranger things have happened right?

Trading Smyth is like cutting out the heart of the team, sucks. I am tempted to drive down to the place and stand outside the backdoor for a listen, it's obviously an invite only affair, and I don't have much pull when it comes to hanging out with the stars.
