even though the show is complete shit now, I'll be checking out the movie for sure...one question though...why is Bart naked??

Maybe they've been saving all the good jokes (for the past 8 years?) for this movie

only animated sitcom that's funnier (or ever has been) is South Park.

FInally, a little insight as to where Springfield is located. You now know what states border Springfield: Ohio, Nevada, Maine, and Kentucky!

- direwolf74 - 02-21-2007

I agree the show has gone downhill over the last few years, but I'm gonna be first in line to see this when it comes out. It's been in the works for quite a while, and I expect it'll be very funny.

- second_sight_kyle - 02-21-2007

I know it's en vogue to say that the show has gone downhill, but I really don't see that big of a change in the past 10 years (they can't all be as good as the Hank Scorpio episode). I'd still rather watch 100 Simpsons episodes in a language I do not understand than 1 episode of Family Guy. Anyway, definitely looking forward to the movie, the plot is kind of hard to figure out from that trailer...

- The Horrible Esthete - 02-21-2007

What's your beef with Family Guy?

After all, we're lucky there's a Family Guy - lucky there's a man who positively can do all the things that make us laugh and cry.

Or at least I think so.

- opiated - 02-21-2007

can't say I'm a huge fan of Family Guy..but after not liking it at first, I am a fan of King of The Hill.

King of the Hill is a good show, I tell you what. :thumb:

I too love King Of The Hill...as wacky as the cahracters all are, they still seem real/believable...

I'm a fan of almost anything Mike Judge though.

I'll go along with the course this thread is taking, loved the Simpsons, it has definitely fallen off(Hank Scorpio is my #2 episode, #1 for me is when Homer had to go back to college), Family Guy is OK I could do without it but still catch it when its on, King of the Hill is a good show, but how come nobody gives any love to Futurama. Nobody watched that show when it was on but I still get crap for owning the boxed sets of it. I think that show deserves a little bit more credit. Cartoon Network still shows the reruns and I think its very underrated. To recap, FOX cartoon rankings in my opinion:
1. Simpsons
2. Futurama
3. King
4. Family Guy.
P.S. I think this movie has the potential to be one of the biggest movies of the summer with all the people that are saying they're going to see it. Not going to challenge Spidey but I think it will surprise you with what it does. Can anyone say Simpsons 2, but at this rate we'' see that in 2019.

- NegPhil - 02-22-2007

I am with ya on futuramam. I loved it when it was on the air and I am pleased to say they are making new episodes. The reason the Simpson's have gone down the toilet is because they pulled the best writers off the show a couple of years ago to write the movie. With a little luck we'll see the show pick up again next season. As for The Family Guy I think South Park nailed it on the mark. The random comedy bits are stupid but Brian and Stuie are hilarious. King of the Hill is a smart family comedy with some of the best character development on television.

Futurama fans should check out this cartoon with the voice actor who plays Fry.

Futurama is superb! Big Grin I can't wait for the new episodes. I'm hoping for a few Zap Branigan heavy ones. 8)

I was wondering that. :? The bit with Homer on the sledge whipping he huskies was very funny!

Also: "I'll... Teach... You... To... Laugh... At... Something... That's... FUNNY!!" - Fantastic line! Big Grin
