Landscaper by summer,snow removal in winter.Its 4:00am and the snow is half way up my side door and i cant get out! Maybe i should just go back to bed.What would YOU Hipbasers rather do today?

Yeah the last thing I wanted to do this morning was come into the office, but since I live a five minute walk away I don't have much choice. The "I couldn't come in cause the sidewalks weren't plowed" excuse doesn't get me much sympathy.
Sounds like you guys in the Hammer got the worst of the storm anyway, it's really not all that bad here in T.O.

That was one of the biggest shocks I had when I moved to Calgary. No snow storm - no matter how nasty - stops Calgarians. Everyone still shows up for work, even if they are a couple of hours late.
Meanwhile, in our Toronto office, people were telling us last night they wouldn't be in today because of the expected snow storm.

Calgary's worst snowstorm between 1961 and 1990, on 6 May 1981, dumped 48.4 cm of snow on Calgary.
London, Ontario's worst snowstorm during that period, on 7 Dec 1977, dumped 57 cm of snow on the city. And, of course, we had a similar storm in October of last year.
Calgary's average annual snowfall during the period was 126.7 cm, while London had 202.4; the highest average monthly snow depth in Calgary was 6 cm vice 12 cm in London.
So okay, Calgary, I concede: seems you're the experts when it comes to a little snow.
That'll teach ya to cherrypick Sundin stats with me, cferneyh.

Hey, I'm not questioning the amount of snow you guys receive (hell, I did my undergrad at UWO, I know all about it).
I'm just saying that in Calgary, snow is treated as an obstacle to be dealt with. In Ontario, it's a valid reason to stay home.
Oh yeah, and Koivu sucks!

Not to cherrypick your stats skippy, but when I crunched the numbers on my own, I found that London actually received an annual average of 213 cm of snowfall in the aforementioned time period. I suggest you learn to better work your calculator machine.

Whoa whoa whoa, let's just get a couple of things straight here. Things are different this year. Ottawa can roll 3 high scoring lines, and 4 solid lines. They have a steady goaltender that doesn't have the world's most fragile groin, and they didn't coast through the regular season like previous years. Meanwhile here in Montreal, the Gazette posted the +/- of the combined 4 top scorers for every team...and the habs were dead last. Aaaand your top scorer is a defensemen! And he is a shitty defenseman at that (he is minus a billion)! Anyway, as you may have guessed, this rant was inspired by years of playoff frustration. But still, things are different this year...

(a) I'm not a Habs fan. Sadly, I'm a Leafs fan.
(b) Just like things were different last year (we've got Hasek! Look out world!). And the year before (whoops - lockout year - disregard)? And the year before that (we're grittier now! Look out world!)? And the year before that (we got rid of Yashin! Look out world!)?
Don't worry - I'm sure you'll win the Cup some year. Afterall, Alfie guaranteed it! :lol:

Here in the peg it has been sunny each and every day for three weeks
the hawerchuk of it all however each day has been around -30 or more with the wind chill – did I say it was sunny outside…
