Holy crap are people ever impatient! It's 9:45am, barely 12 hours since the performance...

tth_fan Wrote:Relax, I quoted what I was replying to. It happens all the time at hipbase, so don't get your panties in a knot.
Not to mention you've flip-flopped on this "Ocean single" subject & edited this post like 4 times...so you're practically impossible to quote anyway
Excuse me , there was no flip-flopping on my part.

I was right about , YNTO , not being on the Canadian Top 100 Radio Air Play Chart , yet. :thumb: That is what I wrote. I wish that the other chart was the more important chart because I am a HIP fan.

I also wrote that it was a great move for THE HIP to have this as their new single , instead of FLY. YNTO , is their new single , is it not?

The chart that I posted is not just a TOP 40 , chart , it is a chart of ALL music played radio stations for all music in Canada. Hopefully YNTO , will be in the TOP 100 this week.

RUSH's , new single FAR CRY , entered my chart at number 79 and it came out almost the same time as , YNTO did.

That is the most important chart. Again , did you find YNTO , on that chart?

As for your , " my ass she is the world's biggest female star! I would love to see that source " written by you.

I then wrote that in 2007 , NELLY's latest CD Loose has sold 10 million+ world wide , so far. In 2007 , she has won , a GRAMMY , a BRIT AWARD , and a WORLD MUSIC AWARD for the best selling female star for 2006 in the WORLD. She had 2 , of her singles from LOOSE hit # 1 on the U.S. BILLBOARD TOP 100 SINGLES CHARTS.

I will add this , as well.

Her new single [her 3rd] was # 1 in Canada for many weeks just recently and after many months her CD is still on the Canadian TOP 100 albums charts in the top 10.

She now has 5 JUNOS , including the fan voted for Fans Choice Award , to add to her other world wide awards.I would say that she is the world's biggest female star at the moment. They even introduced her that way at the JUNOS.

And then you also wrote, " no , she wasn't funny at all "

There is nothing wrong with that opinion BUT...

...Some news paper reviewers seem to disagree with you.

Again , I am not a NELLY fan at all. I am a HIP and RUSH fan.

But at least when I write some thing I try to know what I am talking about and I am happy for Canada's huge stars who make it around the world.
Even , if I can't stand their music.

It is called , supporting your own culture.

You set your standards too high Chris.

But seriously, I was just wondering if someone had found it somewhere (such as youtube) because I can't.

Im pissed (yes Im an angry bastard at times )
As a huge hip fan , I dont think Ive ever been so let down.

I do believe the Junos can go fuck softly sideways on sunday from here on out.

True. I know that it was captured, but haven't seen it yet.

I was up late last night trying to sort out the file, now I'm going back at it this morning. With any luck, I'll be able to get the Hip's performance up in a couple hours, max. Hang tight.

We're not Americans! But we love American stuff! We're not Americans! But we wish we were! I am Canadian! But I'm incredibly insecure about it. Canadian culture rocks! But only if Americans approve of it!

And on it goes.... Ad nauseum... Honestly, the fact that the whole country hasn't been institutionalized is amazing.

Now that's a level of candor I thought I'd never hear from a Canadian on the subject......

I guess you caught me at a particularly candid moment. LOL! I'll try to make sure that doesn't happen again!

Anyway, I got to see the Hip play on the Juno site - thanks for the link kleh - and I didn't have to watch the whole show. That's for the best, really, because the 10 second intro for the Hip by Nelly was enough to assure me that I didn't want to watch more of this than I had to.

You know, the more I live with WC, the less I like Bob Rock. Am I the only one who feels that way?

I couldn't agree more, man she is a tool!

I wasn't much of a fan of his before, but was pleasantly surprised by WC. I'd like to chalk it up soley to the Hip's greatness in spite of him, but to hear Gord talk about it, it sounds like Rock was a pretty significant influence.
