I've tried to like this album because of all the hoopla surrounding it, but I just don't get it. What do you like about it?

I do not feel the need to justify my musical selection to someone who quotes DMB in his signature.

I'm *kidding*. Honestly, Pet Sounds is more of a nostalgia piece to me than anything else. My father always had it in heavy rotation, so I grew up listening to it. And really, any album that contains a track as beautiful and arresting as "God Only Knows" deserves consideration.

Did you buy this album, or did you download it?? I searched every record store in Calgary yesterday and nobody had it (even though the release date says April 18th). I finally got some information from the kind folks at Megatunes who told me it's not being released in Canada until May 23rd. Well, I simply refuse to wait that long, so I ended up ordering it from Amazon this morning. Should arrive in about a week or so. Thank god.

I downloaded it about a month ago. I planed on picking it up this week but it looks like that'll have to wait now I guess. I'll often download cds to check them out but I still find I need to get the actual cds in my hands even though all I do with them is rip them to the computer, leaf through the booklets and then put them away.

The new DBT's is a good disc though, I think Dirty South or Decoration Day is still ahead in the favorites though.
