Grace, Too - "I come from downtown"....Gord always points to the downtown core when he sings this line.
Fifty-Mission Cap - "They didn't win another 'til 1962"....during this part I always look up at the '62 Stanley Cup Banner in the rafters. Obviously only when I'm at a show at the ACC. I also make a point of looking at Bill Barilko's retired number.

so many fabulous moments. one that I just thought of 'cause I'm listening to it now is at the beginning of Three Pistols when Gord sings "..I'm pretty sure it was hiiim" and drops down kinda low.
Also in Nautical Disaster, the short drum roll during the "and we headed for home" line.

"Emergency" - I just listened to the intro in a house which is totally silent. It gave me chills. I don't think that I had ever noticed the sound of rain that opens the song.

Agreed on all accounts! I love that song so much - It makes the hairs on my neck stand on end every time I hear it.
And yes, the video fits it so well. I love the syncronised hanging up of the phones. :mrgreen:

I'm a sucker for the guitarwork on many songs' bridges. Nautical, Locked, and Luv(sic) in particular give me goosebumps on disc, and extra-big goosebumps live.

I LOVE that bit in 'Last night I dreamed' when he sounds frantic when he sings 'You didn't love me....... why don't you love me like you used to'. He sounds desperate and it always gives me chills.
Another honourable mention is the line 'Hey get that kick drum loaded' in Family Band and how it's sung to the sound of the drum!
Also, 'That night in Toronto' from Bobcaygeon. It feels like the world's most patriotic place when he sings it.

Yeah that's one of the things I love the most about Gord. He sings with so much emotion, unlike anyone else I have ever listened to.

For me lyrics are always the last thing to grip me when it comes to a song. I am much more a melody type person. That said I have several "quips" that I could mention but these are the ones that I will take the time to mention now.
The intro to Escape: The way the harmonics roll on this intro has always drawn me in. Concentrate specifically on these next time you listen.
The Intro to Gems: Everytime I hear this song, I feel a quick sense of calm. I adore this song!
ABAC from LBU: The first time I heard Gord add the yoohoo after the first verse into the bridge. Simply fantastic.
Grace: This intro will always give me the bumps. Probably what this band should be remembered for. There is no better song to start a concert with, I will fight all those who disagree.
100th: My favorite line, one I use quite often; "What seems to me, I remember every single fucking thing I know!"
From the new album:
Last Night: I agree with the way he is almost pleading as this song peaks. YOOOOOOU DIDDNNNN"T LOOOOOOOVE MEEEEEEE......
This was the first time I got chills from this album, and I always love hearing Gord push this out.
KID's: "The Whoas"
LUV SIC: I wish I could describe how much I like hearing Gordie sing LUV SIC, LOVE SIC. It's something in the way he using every available bit of air in his lungs to expel those notes. I really feel that this is the sound that encapsulates the album World Container. The raw hard passion rings through and perfectly expresses the urgency of the disc. Watching it live it is even more compelling. Gord has to stop and crouch over in order to get enough ummmph to get these out. Watch for it at the upcoming shows.
Those are a fraction of what I notice in this band...
