I'm not really a fan of Alexisonfire, but I gotta admit, that was a pretty damn good performance. The Hip sounded great as well.

W.C. CONTAINER is a fantastic CD , one of their best ever in my opinion. :thumb:

So , I guess that changing the next single to YNTO instead of FLY is a great idea.
They only mentioned 3 singles on the CD [IN VIEW , RINK and FLY]

W.C. , needs a major sales boost in Canada. GREAT MOVE! :thumb:

Both of those charts are correct. Only one is applicable to the Hip, though, and that is the Canadian Rock Charts, because the Hip certainly don't belong, nor grace the top 40 stations all that often...(In View might have broken in, because I did hear it on the local top 40 hip-hop/pop radio station).

Regarding the Juno awards, I watched it in it's entirety, as I do nearly every year. I think Nelly Furtado did a decent job; certainly more admirable of a host then Pamela Anderson. Perhaps my watching the red carpet event tainted my perception; I can't recall a time that I felt more awkward watching the television then I did this evening with Ben Mulroney and and the other ETalk(!) Daily host pitching some of the most ridiculous and ambiguous questions to the musicians. I don't mean 'silly', or 'softball lob' questions. I mean downright crack-induced, specifics-lacking questions about "how great it is to have fans?"...

The Hip played well, and Mr. Downie's poem/tribute was fantastic, but it more likely then not was lost on everybody in the arena. I think I'm told to try to understand, by the radio and MuchMusic, that the Billy Talents and Alexisonfire's of this world comprise the new era of rock music, and I'm not suggesting anybody did a bad job on stage tonight, but I must say that "Yer Not The Ocean" had the freshest sound to me.

p.s. Yer Not the Ocean has been the "new" single for a few weeks now...

I check the Canadian weekly air play charts from JAM MUSIC and other sources and if YER NOT THE OCEAN , has been out for weeks now , it has yet to chart in the Canadian TOP 100 radio air play charts. I could leave that charts link here if you want? So according to you , no one is playing it.

It hasn't even debuted yet on those charts , yet!

I have that belt buckle. Got it for christmas from my buddy in Vancouver. Its got little screws so you can put any letters you want in it it. It is sweet!

I managed to capture the performance, but unfortunately the Bob Rock segment glitched and I was only able to get Gord's tribute.
