The Blue Jays once again show what they're made of. Gone are the days of Alomar and Molitor and Carter and Gruber. The Jays failed miserably on a road trip that pretty much decided their playoff fate. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jays went on to win 8 of the last ten, ya know, since the pressure is off and all. BTW, good season for A.J. Burnett. Well worth the money.....yikes.. The sad part is the Indians are even worse than the Jays. DOUBLE YIKES.

hock:

Bobby Abreu...Johnny Damon...and Hideki Matsui...what a helluvan' outfield that's gonna be!
it's been nice to watch the Yankees battle through all of these injury problems and still find a way to win ballgames and lead the division...if they can have everybody healthy come playoff time, they should be able to steamroll the competition.

Jaret Wright has impressed me this year, he's not completely dominating , but, he's winning ballgames, and holding down his spot in the rotation quite nicely. I'm not completely sure i know what to make of Lidle just yet...i'll have to see a bit more of him before i can form a fair opinion...
can't wait to see Sheffield and Matsui get back in there...Sheffield is probably going to be playing 1st, and DH...like Giambi...which is kinda cool, because one's a lefty, one's a righty, they both have a lot of power and pick up a lot of extra bases...

The same Jaret Wright who, to my knowledge, HAS NOT GONE PAST FIVE INNINGS ALL SEASON. I could be wrong though.

hinske is 2 for 2 with 2 doubles against the yankees right now in his Boston debut.

oh wait, that's right, THEY LOST ALL 5 GAMES! haha!
and to top it all off, Manny injured himself today...

I believe John Gibbons said it best when he said, "You know, sometimes you just have to challenge your players to a fight. Or sometimes, you gotta start screaming at them while you're pulling them because they didn't pitch well."
Ummm, he didn't actually say that. Nonetheless, he should be fired. J.P. too. We are, after all, going into the sixth year of his glorious five-year plan.
