Butts Wigglin is actually different on both albums..i remember it was very slight, and i think it had to do with the drums....

I think there should be a dedicated Butts Wigglin', In View/Bob Rock bashing thread. I think it would help every other thread from evolving into that conversation.
If someone gets worked up over a thread they can go relieve of tension in the whipping thread.

that sounds like an idea for "The Luxury" part of the forum, its not like anyone is using it.
we can rename it "The Piss and Moan Luxury".. anything goes.

You may. I didn't like it for years. I actually hated it. Then, a couple years ago, I read one of many threads on here which was ripe with people complaining about how much they hated it. I went back and gave it another shot. It's not one of my favorites - not even close - but it has a good grove to it that I never appreciated before.

The lyrics are simplistic, but it's commentary on the sexual repression bred by religion. I think it's the best because it's so misunderstood; people just don't fucking get it. The song's pretty rockin', too. I wish a demo would surface, though. One with the original ending.

Or maybe a seperate section where people can go to whine about the inevitability of *discussions morphing* and *debates evolving* within the
t-h-r-e-a-d-s in a
f-o-r-u-m.

Ohhh.
Suddenly I find that Coconut Cream is awesome, now that my feeble mind can grasp it's meaning.

I love remarks like that. Because, you know, people who like the new stuff couldn't just listen to the new stuff and accept a different sound on the next album. Oh, no. Those people own the Hip. They're the real fans.
3. We should be thankful that the Hip are not still making Up to Here and Road Apples, because times have changed. That being said, times will continue to change, and before you know it, the real fans who put down anyone who wants a change will find themselves hearing an album they hate ... unless, of course, they automatically love everything the Hip do, uncritically.
I really want them to change as well with this next record
that is why I REALLY hope they do not make another album with Bob Rock as the producer

I like Butts Wigglin as well, when I go thru my cd folders and make a hip play list, Butts is usually on it.

The Horrible Esthete Wrote:Phantom51 Wrote:50 Mission Cap, somethings on, fireworks, Are you ready. All pretty cheesy
Lyrically, perhaps....though not nearly as cheesy as View, imo.
Musically? Not even close.
I'm not saying I don't like the songs, but if we are going to state cheesy then I think those would qualify lyrically.
I love Butts Wigglin!
