I thought this was funny because the other week on the Fan here in Calgary that moron Dowbiggin was saying that in order to succeed as an NHL coach, you need to have played the game. Someone called in and asked: "How many NHL games did Scotty Bowman play?"

THAT was a sweet burn, and backs up my theory that the only hockey writer in Canada who is more clueless than Al Strachan is Bruce Dowbiggin.

Dowbiggen is a freakin' moron. I can't wait until Joe Sports is healthy enough to return.

Wow i can't believe Atlanta blew their game tonight against the Caps. I honestly thought they had a great chance of making it in, possibly at the expensive of the Montreal Canadiens. All the Thrashers had to do was beat the Caps (they were winning 4-3) and it would set up a scenerio tomorrow where they just had to beat the Florida Panthers and have the red hot New Jersey Devils beat the Montreal Canadiens (or Caps beat Tampa) and they were in. None of that matters now though that Mike Dunham struggled mightly in a 6-4 loss to the Caps. Tampa & Montreal are in, Atlanta out.

Not a big schedule tonight, but it's already been a great night. Sidney Crosby got points 98, 99, 100 in the Penguins win over the Islanders..and the Wings battled back from a 2-0 Stars lead, to tie it up, and Holmstrom scored the winner with seconds left in the 3rd. Still to come is Thornton & Cheechoo vs. the Kings, in what will be Luc Robitaille's last game of his marvelous career. Here's hoping Luc pops at least 1 last goal.

Habs are in! lookout folks, we're coming at ya!(mostly directed at any Sens or Canes fans) I'm kind of hoping we play the Sens, I think we have a shot at them, Canes blew us away all year...but playoffs are another season, anything can happen

The announcers had just mentioned that this would be the first time the Wings may get shutout this season (the only team not to have been shutout thus far) when they decided to turn it up a notch and got 3 goals in the last 7 minutes. They looked quite impressive in those last 7 minutes. Datsyuk, Yzerman, and Schneider were sitting out the game as well.

The Flames/Ducks game tonight was a freakin' joke. Sure, the game was meaningless and I shouldn't really care, but man, the officiating was absolutely BRUTAL. 21 penalties were called. 13 against the Flames (including two 5 on 3's), and 8 against the Ducks. Seemed like everytime a Flames player hit somebody, they'd get called for something. It was ridiculous. I hope we don't get this kind of crap officiating when the playoffs start. The good news for the Flames is that the Ducks looked a little intimidated tonight by Calgary's physical play, and I don't think they'll be able to handle getting pounded like that over the course of a 7-game series. They'll also be facing a much better goaltender.

Oh, and I should also note that Anaheim did something really stupid tonight. They pissed off Jarome Iginla.
