I think it should be 1 song from each album but complying with the topic mine is:
Escape ................
honorable mentions: scared, 50 mission cap, pigeon camera, ABAC and fully completely.

That's heresy in my books.
EP: Smalltown Bringdown
Up To Here: When The Weight Comes Down/Opiated
Road Apples: Last Of The Unplucked Gems
Fully Completely: Fully Completely, We'll Go Too, Pigeon Camera
Day For Night: Impossibilium, Nautical Disaster, Thugs, Grace, Too
Trouble At The Henhouse: ABAC, Springtime In Vienna, Don't Wake Daddy
Phantom Power: Membership, Bobcaygeon, Something On, Thompson Girl
Music@Work: My Music At Work, Lake Fever
In Violet Light: The Darkest One, The Dire Wolf
In Between Evolution: You're Everywhere, Heaven Is A Better Place Today
Other: You See Details, Montreal, Get Back Again, Freaked

Bold choice, I really started digging this song lately, though. So...
Nautical Disaster
Vapour Trails
Springtime in Vienna
And yes, that is heresy. What about, "Let's Stay Engaged," "Don't Wake Daddy," "Flamenco," "Gift Shop," and the ultimate chill "Sherpa"? There's so many unique treats on Henhouse; I don't see how you could say there's only two good songs on it.

EP: Last American Exit
Up To Here: I'll Believe in You/Boots
Road Apples: Cordelia/Long Time Running (First dance at my wedding)
Fully Completely: Wheat Kings/100th
Day For Night: So Hard Done by/Thugs/Nautical
Trouble At The Henhouse: Springtime In Vienna/Gift Shop
Phantom Power: Fireworks/Bobcaygeon
Music@Work: Lake Fever
In Violet Light: Leave
In Between Evolution: Copenhagen/Josephine
It was hard enough to pick one from each album, never mind just one!
Cordelia and So Hard Done By are close to the top and LTR has that nostalgic factor but I just cant decide.

I dunno, i just really never liked henhouse - maybe its just because it was a follow up to DFN, which IMO is by far their most brilliant song; but i could never get into it. Ahead by A Century is the most incredible pop song; Springtime in Vienna is damn good, but i could never get into anything else from it.
giftshop - okay, but slightly repetative
Dont wake Daddy - okay, ill give you this one; its fun to listen to
Sherpa, Lets Stay Engaged, Flamenco - Theyre all okay, but not great.
So, Bad was a bit of an exaggeration, i just dont think it stands up to the rest of their catalogue

Now
there's a man with eclectic tastes (something I rarely say about a Michigander  ). You listed my 5 favorite Henhouse cuts. Apartment Song would probably be a close 6th......

You, sir, are certainly entitled to your opinion.
But so am I, and my opinion is that those songs absolutely
are great, and represent some of the most artistic and coherent material this band has composed.
If the forthcoming album is
anywhere close to as masterful as TATH, I'll cream my cottons.

It's impossible to pick any one song as a favorite. So I'll pick 3:
Locked
Pistols
LTR
with ABAC almost making the top 3.

Any live version of Grace. Ever.
As for album, I'd have to pick Gems. It used to comfort me like a well worn blanket back in the day.....

Man, oh man. Top three if pressed...
1st Hip song I ever heard live was at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania is Little Bones.
Grace, Too is phenomenal at so many levels...
Third, I would choose Ahead By A Century, as my wife and I are probably the only NON-CANADIANS to ever both engrave UR AHEAD BY A CENTURY on each other's wedding rings.
