according to legend, last time the boys were on the island (phantom power tour) i heard they played a short set at the ol' dublin pub later that night, might be a good idea to head there after the show just in case

That's awesome! I figured those 5 artists were it...but it now says that headliners will be announced May 24th, so there's more. Joel Plaskett Emergency and 2 Hours Traffic are supposed to be playing as well, but hopefully they're on Canada Day, meaning another big act for the final night.

My wish would be for Bachman/Cummings...they are touring Canada this summer but aren't coming any closer than Quebec, and they tour ends shortly before the FOTL begin Smile

- ghostryder - 05-10-2006

The headline concert will be Sunday July 2nd as Monday July 3rd is a holiday and I would expect a couple of big name acts for that night...There will also be a free concert Saturday July 1st for Canada Day which I have heard Joel Plaskett and Two Hours Traffic will be playing + others....Usually the last day of the Festival which will be Mon. July 3rd this year they have someone more family oriented play in the afternoon, last year it was Kalan Porter and I would assume it will be the same deal this year...

good stuff, we should have a meet up at the show, that line up for the first night is incredible

- ghostryder - 05-10-2006

Lots of rumors flying around Charlottetown as well about who the headliners will be for the Festival...The three most common names I have heard are Aerosmith, Kid Rock or Sheryl Crow...Rumors are just rumors tho and could very well be way off base...

- ryan93 - 05-10-2006

I honestly haven't heard Aerosmith and highly doubt they will.

Kid Rock...the Monster Trucks are coming to the Civic Centre in June, and the ad in the paper says that for the first time in Atlantic Canada there's a celebrity race or something like that, featuring "The Kid" and the guy in the pic looks just like Kid Rock - anybody know if it is?

I haven't heard any rumors of him or Crow neither, but i did hear that Sherly was planning a Eastern Canada tour when she found out she had cancer.

- ghostryder - 05-10-2006

No, not Kid Rock - that guy "The Kid" is an impersonator...I have actually heard the Aerosmith thing from many people including someone who has inside information but I agree with you, way to big and pricey for Charlottetown but it would be cool. I guess we will know for sure on the 24th but one thing is for certain, no matter who it is, it wil be a good weekend to be in Charlottetown.
