Bryan "Summer of '69" Adams was born there. Doug Gilmour and Kirk Muller are from there. Dan Ackroyd grew up just outside of town. Uhhh...we have lots of prisons...

Just back from vacation. This is such awesome news!!! I'll be for sure heading to this show. I have room for 3 other people in my car as I'll be heading down alone. I'm trying to decide if I'll come right back to Oakville or get a room in Kingston for the night. I think a room might be more fun with a few hipbasers and some drinks before and after the show.
Darren, Josh, Brendan??? Up for a party again?

Wow, this is looking like it's gonna be quite the lineup. I'm curious though, didn't Matt Good slag the Hip a few times in the press over the years?? Obviously the Hip don't take any of that stuff too seriously otherwise they probably wouldn't have invited him. I think that's great. Should be a killer show. Once again, you folks in Ontario get all the good stuff while us poor bastards out west continue to pray to the music gods that some form of Hip tour rolls through town in the near future.

Since Sum 41 has been tossed around as a possible opener, I thought it'd be worth mentioning that they've been confirmed as the Queen's frosh week band. That would put them in Kingston two days before the Hip; with any luck, that will also provide them ample opportunity to get out of town without joining the bill. :thumb:
Steve, not the biggest Sum 41 fan in the world...

For some reason Derick Whibley from Sum 41 reminds me of a muppet. Not sure which one. A Fraggle I think.....
