If you could, because I don't know if it's been answered before, perhaps you can ask them why they decided to work with Bob Rock, because it still seems like a curious pairing to me.
Thanks in advance if you are able to talk to them about this. :thumb:

There's only one thing on my mind.....tour dates! I sure hope I dont have to wait until summer to see them again. Its seems like a NYE show is pretty much dead and buried. (but I never give up hope)

So far:
- Why did they choose Bob Rock?
- Do they have any firm tour plans? ARA, clubs, theatres, etc
- Any plans to head to Europe again?
- NYE show?
- Is this shaping up to be an album about love, as Gord D mentioned last year?
-
Lizard King - 12-12-2005
An album about love eh...well that could mean a lot of things. Maybe its an album about how much he loves 80's porn? Some more details on the album would be cool, I wonder how far along they are towards putting the finishing touches on it. :?

LK... the folks at the BBC are going to start to wonder why their bandwidth this month is son high! 2,400 potential opportunities for that image to load, for 2,835 Hipbase members!
And now back to the task of figuring out what questions to ask The Hip, should the opportunity present itself:

You're a dick
Hey man, sorry. I thought you're earlier post was a joke, so I was just carrying on the joke. Wasn't trying to be a dick. In all honesty if they did play any of those tunes (summerside, midnight, highway girl) I would shit my pants (in a good way). Anyway, wasn't trying to be a jerk.
And to all you lucky shits who got tickets, have fun. Good of you to atleast attempt taping it Chris. You continue to be
the man.

They should have thought of that before they posted it on their website. Actually I got it from a Stripes fan's, fan site, they said it was ok to take anything you wanted so I helped myself to some pics and a few avatars. Besides everyone (at least the males) are loving it too much, it would be cruel to take it down.

Thanks pal! I know of at least one other taper who's going, and one other insider who'll be there, and indicated that he'd have his gear with HIm.

Unfortunately I just heard back from Sam Roberts' manager and the people at EggPlant. No cameras are allowed. Bummer.

No problem, it's hard to pick up on sarcasm in posts, and I was probably a wee bit oversensitive. I just thought it might be fun to speculate what they might play acoustic.

Hey all,
Don't mean to be a downer, but I would be surprised if they play this gig due to the death of Rob Baker's mother over the weekend.
Her obituary was in todays Kingston Whig Standard.
His father passed away earlier this year, so i'd think he might spend time with his family.
Maybe MAv could clear up their status, but I just thought I'd give you guys a heads up (if it wasn't posted already somewhere else)

That is sad news.. wow his parents could not have been too old.
If it is true about being an Acoustic set... Paul & the 2 gords could pull off a few songs easily... wouldn't be the same without bobby ...but Paul can rock when he needs too. we all know that.
Regardless. A prayer for Bobby's family
