I have a black Fleur de Lis tattoo on my right shoulder blade. It looks pretty damn good.

The top 1 i just got in Edmonton 1 week ago today,this pic does not do it justice, its healing nicely and is itchy as HELL!!!!, + I promised Katherine,the artist that I'd put it on the Ship :wink: there ya go KAt :thumb: others are old ones....

Thats a good looking tattoo, you could maybe just curl the word "HIP" or "THE HIP" around the birds tail feathers? Just an idea..

Thanx Cap :thumb: I do Love your Blackbird of Hope,and ya HIP would be a nice touch,but it looks cool on its own too. I was thinkin of getting those all down both arms, starting on my right wrist, flying up,hopping over the gargy, all the way around under my collarbone, then flying downwards on my left arm to my other wrist,but I'm still toying with that idea, maybe next summer,maybe not....

Wow that sounds sooooooo cool!!! I want to get a Hip inspired tattoo but don't know where to start!!

Reminds me of when I first heard of The Hip when I was travelling across Europe and made friends with a bunch of crazy, wonderful people from Toronto. We got really trashed one night in Paris and all went looking for a tattoo studio so we could all get a maple leaf tattooed on our left ankles. I am kind of glad nothing was open in hindsight................ I love the maple leaf but um......... I am AUSTRALIAN!!! hahaha cratch:
