Not really making any kind of statement here. All I know is that the leafs lost. Really did not check out the game. The issue here is that some dude in my fantasy league dropped him. I then picked him up, but was wondering if something had happened that may have in fact compromised his job as there no 1. Something from the game, an injury, something off the ice, etc.

Yes, I did watch the game. I watched both games that night on TSN actually. It seemed to me like the players were playing scared. They were scared to get a penalty and it took away some of their aggressiveness. No, I have to disagree and say that I didn't notice a hard hitting game (save for Lindros in the third period where he was knocking over Sens like bowling pins). The shootout is ridiculous. To me, the new NHL is too gimmicky. I feel like Vince Mcmahon is behind it or something. You guys all hated the XFL. Well, the new NHL is damn close to being what the XFL was with the ridiculous shootout and all. How is that a legitimate way to end a game?????

You see, I think the new NHL is making it easy for players. Hell, I could skate around and score 15 goals if I wasn't allowed to be touched in front of the net. Players like Pronger are put at a huge disadvantage when a guy like Darcy Tucker can basically stand in front of the net and there's nothing Pronger could do about it without getting a penalty.

These so called offensive players that the game is being adjusted for should be good enough to score in the old NHL. Wait a minute, I guess they were. Nash and Iginla seemed to be able to fight through the checks and holding to score a lot of goals. Why do these players need to be babied so much??? Brett Hull complains about hooking when he's the worst damn offender.

This is just my personal opinion but I'd rather see guys win or lose games EVEN STRENGTH. In this new NHL all you need is a great powerplay and you'll be a favourite to win it all. :x

The Sabres will be changing the jerseys again in the upcoming off-season, according to WGR550 in Buffalo. There is such a popular demand to bring back the blue and gold. From what they say, the new jerseys will not be exactly the same as the old ones, but the swords will be making a comeback!

At one point there was a site up with about 8 different designs incorporating the old colors. They were fantastic and I wish I still had the link. Ahh.

I wanted to buy a Sabres jersey this year (despite the fact they are black and red) but with this news I will be waiting for the upcoming offseason.
