I don't want to sidetrack the thread but I like most Hip Fans (at least on here) I am crossing my fingers for a little diversity in the setlists this summer compared to last summers shows. I'm hoping for just a few bones to be thrown to us fans... just asking for a few sprikled in (obviously some new stuff). Not asking for EP songs or something as rare as Another Midnight, just for the guys to mix it up... maybe Escape...insted of Poets? Morning Moon insted of Love is A First? Ocean insted of In View? Pigeon insted of Fully?

Did you log on at 8 am this morning as per the e-mail instructions? Because around 1:00 am last night I was checking out the Stampede Roundup website, and when I clicked on the link for tickets it said "on sale now". So out of curiosity I tried the password and it worked. Kind of weird that I was able to purchase my tickets 7 hours before the advertised on-sale time. That being said, I find it hard to believe that it would be sold out already. Most outdoor festival shows don't sell out until days before the event. Perhaps because this is a private event, maybe they're trying to limit the amount of people who show up? Who knows.

Yeah I was on the site at 8am MST like it said, password came up with a SOLD OUT page.
Just checked again, now it has a option to enter your email and get put on a waiting list.

I think a lot of the event fills with people who work for the sponser companies and their guests. My sister in law goes every year regardless of who's playing because it's an all inclusive paid party for them. They were also given a password to buy tickets for their friends and families last week so who knows how many sold then.
I know it's a sought after ticket for the Stampede week regardless of who's playing it so it very well could be sold out already. I hope not for the sake of those that missed out today.

Dear Tragically Hip management,
Please book the Hip at Bumbershoot this year. Gord played it years ago and this years line up is the best since that year. Besides, all the other bands managers will laugh at you if you don't.

Any word when dates are coming? If I recall correctly for We Are The Same, the record came out in April and they announced basically the whole tour in March? Hopefully we get some news in the next month or so. Minneapolis is due for a show this fall.

If the album isn't coming until the fall, expect the tour to be announced shortly before that.
