I guess I missed that part in the initial posts, but the vocal change I thought I detected in the TATH/PP tours had nothing to do with "screaming at the top of his lungs". I was in agreement that Gord's "live voice" has seemed to undergo changes in style and tonal quality over the years.... but I never had the impression that everything he's been singing lately is just "screaming".
But on that topic -- did you ever catch a Hip show in the early 90s or prior?
The performances I saw in that era seemed to include "top of the lungs" vocals that were more ferocious and manaical than any I've seen since....but that's just me. The first time I saw the Hip, I wondered how anyone could sing like that for two hours. But singing it
was, and it was jaw-dropping.

Like most rock singers, I've noticed Gord's voice tends to deteriorate the longer a tour goes. When they played those one-off festival shows earlier this summer, the band had been off the road for a while and GD's voice was well rested. His vocal performance at Virgin Fest was spot-on. He sounded amazing.
