If you are in the NHL and have a million dollar contract, you get paid whether you get 100 points, or 0.
You would've had to have played well in the past to recieve a big contract though...

He was trying to insinuate that in hockey you don't have to perform at a high level to get a big contract, which isn't really true, at some point in time, you would've had to play really well to get a lucrative deal, and most players (not all, but most) do their absolute best to earn every bit of it, often playing hurt if necessary and putting their own health and saftey at risk...
please don't compare hockey to golf...unless you're a leafs fan, in which case i will excuse, as by now you may no longer be able to tell the difference between the two.

I don't compare the two, you can't. Simply put Golf is a much better game then hockey. :rambo:
