Ive been purposely keeping silent on this Habs run, i dont want to mess with it, the emotions are too high right now.

But the refs were horrible last night, im just glad we won.

Big win by the Flyers in OT last night, now we just have to win 3 more in a row against the Bruins. Full credit to Montreal for playing the Penguing so tough so far in that series.

Of course Gary is pissed! He already had one golden boy knocked out by the Habs... can you imagine if his bonerific "face of the league" gets knocked out, too?? Chaos. The last thing Bettman wants is an all Canadian team final. The ratings in the U.S. suck as is. His dream final would be Phoenix vs. Atlanta (just to prove that his expansion experiment is a success!).
Not to mention that this whole Phoenix thing isn't looking too good... bite me Gary.

It will be delicious irony if Herr Bettman's dream of expansion crashes and burns around his arrogant ass. Now if he'll just get the stick out of his rear end and allow Balsillie to buy and relocate a team to the Hamilton area, things would be great. My guess is if the Preds or the Stars can't find a local buyer when they get put on the market, Bettman will have to face reality and let Balsillie in in the club.

Well it's official. Luongo is the most overyhyped goalie to come along in a long time. What a hack. This is coming from a guy that played goal for over 20 years. Not pro but at pretty high levels so I feel I can talk to the subject a little bit.
What a sad performance in the series by Luongo. Is this the end in vancouver for him? it should be. He will certainly step down from the captaincy, that experiment is over as well.

He didn't play his best, but he did look sharp in the first period, and the Canucks couldn't manage to get out in front with the lead. I agree, he should've never been captain in the first place, they only did that so Daniel wouldn't get jealous of Henrik IMO, stupid move though. If anything, I think Alain Vingeault should be fired, for not being able to whip this team into shape, and formulate a good enough plan to defeat the team that bounced them last year. The injuries didn't help much, but it's the playoffs, every team has injuries.

saw an interview with luongo after the game-he said something to the effect that he improved this year only allowing 5 goals in the elimination game as opposed to the 7 he gave up last year. i realize the sarcasm, but does any player want to see their captain and leader say something like that?

i was thinking that too, should have kept his mouth shut and if he has any decency he'll strip himself of the C and just worry about stopping pucks...my take he's good, but not great..he'll never achieve Brodeur or Roy etc.. status.
