I have a bit of complaining to do:
The only veiwing choice I have is to watch the games on VS (when not on NBC).
Last night VS had some kind of ad banners streaming across the screen during play. I don't know what they even said, some comercial or something, but the damn thing covered up about 1/4 of the screen! I caught myself kind of swiveling my head to see around it like it was someone standing up in front of me. :censored
Oh! for the love of... I was so p.o.'d!! The worst was at the 6:20 mark in the 3rd and Detroit was on a break away...
some red banner cut through and stayed for a few seconds! argh! There is a time for that crap, Its during the commercial breaks!!!
VS. is the only one cable channel here willing to show hockey, and unfortunately, they really suck at it.
Between Milburys' crap on NBC and bad camera work on VS. with every game; I am shortnening my life ; I feel it... :x
ok breathe...
GO PENS !!

My two sons and I are off to Detroit from Toronto on Saturday to see Game 6. Can anyone in the Detroit/Windsor area give me a hint as to how long we should allow to clear through the border? Going through the tunnel seems to make the most sense in terms of access to Joe Louis but I was wondering if the Bridge would be a better choice. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on how early you show up. Last time I went over for a game I took the tunnel (leaving 1.5 hours to spare) and ended up there at the end of the first period. If crossing >2 hours in advance, the tunnel would be okay. If not, do the bridge. It's still very easy to get to Joe Louis from the bridge.

Thanks. We will aim to cross at 5 so we have lots of time. Too far to come and risk missing any of it.

You can thank the commish for that. The NHL could have done a deal to stay on ESPN coming out of the lockout but VS offered more cash, and Bettman and Co. decided they'd rather take the upfront payment then worry about having games on a channel people have actually heard of.

I am so happy the nay-sayers are quiet if only for a day or so.
I've taken so much sh*t here, in Phoenix, its unbelievable. A whole lot of people here are from somewhere else, mostly mid west.
The rest are just band wagoners...listening to the crap ESPN spews, too bad for them eh?
GO PENS!!! :jump

Today is the big day in court for the Coyotes mess, although it appears the judge won't be making a ruling today. The Toronto Star has a reporter providing updates from inside the court room - sounds like the judge is giving it to both sides pretty good...
