GBV - can you find out how much your room cost at the Hyatt via priceline. I'm booking something tomorrow.
Traveling from Ottawa by myself for this one (yes, I'm a loser) - I'd be interested if anyone was meeting up for some beers.
Ballroom parking - buffalorob - 03-06-2007
M&T lot at Chippewa & Washington, many other lots nearby.
Ballroom used to be a theater. Stage is in a pit, and then several tiers go up from the floor, bars up top down the sides. Beers not cheap.

Ended up at the Hyatt via Priceline.com for $75 plus taxes - $90 total. I've never been a fan of internet travel sites but Priceline really came through. Even have some money left for a few beers now.

What Bflo show are you going to? My friends and I (local) are going to grab some beers before the Sat show (maybe Hemmingways on Pearl St., behind Shea's Theater -- easy to find from Hyatt). Everything on Chippewa is clubish.
They brew their own beer and have many micros.
It might be a bit busy since the Sabres are also playing, but the have 2 floors and 2 bars.
Best bet is to park in the M&T lot ($2) on the corner of Washington and Main. This is the closest lot to the show. You can than take the metrorail train that runs on Main street. It is free (above ground). Take it to the Seneca Street stop and the Pearl Street Grill is across the street. You can then take the train back to the show. The train comes every 10 minutes and the ride is about 5 minutes.

It's an 8 pm game tonight so it (Pearl St.) will be packed. Hip didn't start till 8:30 last night so you have time to get down there and back. Chippewa gets going later so sfter if your more the college crowd scene that's where to go. couple block up from the town. Find a hole in the wall. Best food and cheap drinks. Way better than a chain (ie Fridays etc)

If you get to Pearl Street by 5:00, you should be able to get a seat.
I'm going to the Saturday show (going to the Sabres tonight). We'll probably head down to Pearl Street Sat. afternoon around 4:00. :mrgreen:
