Dammit...they have played Grace the last 3 shows. I sure hope that doesn't mean they miss it in Calgary!! My concert experience is complete if they play Grace...that and Poets.

Oh by the way, I think me and a whole schwack of people will be starting off at a buddies house, then moving to Classic Jacks (on 17th Ave) before the show.

Grace would be great... no doubt about that but I'm hoping for So Hard Done by for Calgary or Saskatoon. I'd kill to see that. I'd also love to see Dire Wolf and Put it off but the chances of them pulling those out are pretty slim. At least So Hard Done By's already been out on the US tour.

Not looking like I'll be participating in any pre show activities. Wife's working late and I've got to get up early to get to Toon town for early sat. afternoon so I'll be going easy on Friday night.

:lol: Black Swan, haven't been there in a few years, had some good times there though. Don't know why I haven't been there lately, it's super close to home for me too. There was a big brawl there last week wasn't there?

Nah, it was definately the Black Swan. I had never heard of the place until then. I also thought Southcenter was far south because I haven't been in Calgary for too long and to me Southcenter is pretty far from where I live in the NW.

there was an incedent in the parking lot a few years ago, but nothing since. "The big brawl" was due to some kid hitting a power box and causing a complete blackout in a crowed bar 12am on a Saturday night.
After 200 drunks all hit the parking lot at the same time, 15 police units showed up to help with crowd control, pretty much telling everyone to drive home, no matter if they were drunk or not
hock: Being a typical slow news day in Calgary, the headline reads "near riot at SW bar" unbelievable

ahhh I see.
That's what I figured the big brawl was. I heard the whole "chain of events" story and it sounded a little blown up outta proportion. Hard to know unless you're there though I guess.
As for the show tonight, I'll probably sport my hipbase shirt as well. I'm in row 9 tonight. Can't wait.

I don't have the tickets here but I think we're in 6-9 or something on that end.
Edit: Just checked at ticketmaster.ca and my seats are 5-8.
