got 4 in row 16
Well, most of the time I get people bitching about it so, I started it a tad early for you today.
Also, I put the link and password on EVERY page.
Hope that worked out for you
- the password and link, the tickets and location, well, not my department obviously.
MAv.
Thanks MAv, I never say it enough!

Billy Wrote:You can't tell me the band needs to charge $79 for tickets when just over 2 years ago they were charging less than $50 for the dome. For a band that has seen declining sales for the past 10 years (at least) it will be interesting to see how many empty seats there will be. I don't give 2 shits that it's at Stampede time...I'm going for the Hip, not some secondary sideshow.
I won't argue that they're overpriced (especially with TM rape), but I can see why they're charging that much. They need to make up for the less than stellar record sales, and this is the way to do it. I'd wager that everyone's ticket prices have gone up in the last two years, not just the Hip's. People will still buy the tickets, and any empty seats are just as likely due to reduced interest in the band as overpricing. It's a collection of things.
For the record, any Stampede comments I've been made were facetious - I hate that fucking event, and I wish I didn't have to tolerate it in order to see the Hip. In fact, if I don't do better than row 6 in the public sale, I'm not sure I can justify the expenses of a trip to Calgary and a hotel and whatnot. I'll probably end up going anyway, but I really shouldn't.
Also, the Stampede didn't affect pricing. Big market (Edmonton, Toronto) tickets for the winter tour cost the same amounts. There weren't too many empty seats in Edmonton, for the record.

my first offer was row 25...i pretty much laughed at that. tried half a dozen more times and never came up with anything better than row 20. gonna wait till the regular sale, or go for ebay tickets...

Got a pair in row 20 on the floor and a pair in row 10 in sec. 108. I think I'm gonna use the ones on the side. I've always enjoyed shows from that area.

i had row 16 as well and turned them down. i`ll try the public sale and if that doesn`t go well, i`ll scam a few extra hours of o.t. and buy on ebay.

I'm not sure bigA, I recall someone on here saying they were shooting for seat 20, that it was close to centre.
I'll try to come over to your side and say hi, hopefully I won't be quite as drunk as I was when I said hello in Edmonton!
LOL....yea right

According to the .pdf map from the Saddledome's website there are 40 seats in a row, except for rows 1-3.

I got row 18 and row 24, not as good as I was hoping, but I didn't notice the early bird special MAV gave us until it was about 10:00. Don't care too much though it is the HIP, just want to go at this point...

I'm 43 and 44, so we must be close to the side. I don't think I can go anywhere in Alberta without running into you!
