The Sabres are premiering their new Hi-Def scoreboard tonight.
4 Hi-Def screens with a ribbon board above and below.
Looks pretty sweet:

There's a new scoreboard at MSG too...Sam & Joe talked about it last night, but never showed it.

AWESOME!! Glad that I'm going to the game to see this one. Too bad Sid the Kid probably won't play though.

Why would they play the Canadian national anthem in a game in London with two teams based in the US?
Damn - I've got Jonathan Bernier in my keeper pool and I didn't even think to start him. Whoops.

Hey Jamie,
I see that the Sabres did not have the Hi-Def cameras going last night so the new scoreboard was not showing Hi-Def images.
But how did the new scoreboard look anyway?

On another note.
The Sabres are showing almost their entire home television schedule in Hi-Def this year. (only on Time-Warner cable - no satellite)
Are any other NHL teams doing this?

Just for the record, I don't think the Rypien hit was really dirty. The Oilers player looked to turn his back at the last second. I wonder how the NHL will react.

Jim Lorentz is retiring from his position as color commentator for the Sabres radio and TV broadcasts- and it looks like Harry Neale will be taking over.

What's wrong with Bourdon? Is he ever going to be good enough to crack the Canucks lineup? It's not like Vancouver has six or seven Bobby Orrs on the back end.

cratch:
I'm glad Raymond wasn't cut. He's got speed and will be a decent player if given the chance.

I find it kind of funny how Schremp got cut from Edmonton again, I've heard he's kind of a dick with a bad attitude. I wonder if that has anything to do with him not making it again.

From what the local papers were saying, his attitude has improved, but his game sure as hell hasn't. He was pretty quiet during the entire camp.

Man, if you can't make the
Oilers, you suck hard.

I'm not an Oilers fan...but I think you're thinking of the Predators...
